evoice in Norfolk County UK: award-winning
Bus Stop 39 - an innovative evoice project has gained a top UK national award for the use of eMedia to promote the work of local authorities among young people.
Bus Stop 39 – an online blogging soap opera aimed at increasing young people's understanding of local government – was backed by a partnership of Norfolk County Council and the Borough Councils of King's Lynn & West Norfolk and Great Yarmouth in the United Kingdom.
Bus Stop 39 was created in response to a familiar challenge:
how can you engage young people in local democracy?
The Chartered Institute for Public Relations (CIPR) award for Best Use of eMedia was announced in the City of Liverpool at the CIPR's annual local government conference at the end of September 2007.
